Sports
Flooring
We supply and
install two main types of sports flooring:
|
Flotex Sport
- A
textile floorcovering with plain all over flocking in
150cm wide sheet, 100% nylon velour surface mounted on an
expanded PVC backing. M3 fire classification.
- Court
markings are achieved by inlaying pre-machined coloured
strips in accordance with the sports standards in
force.
- The
product is unique in structure and performance with a
velour surface ideally suited to indoor sports. It has
excellent resistance to wear, is waterproof and completely
washable, easy and inexpensive to maintain.
- The
surface is particularly similar to a clay court, classed
by the French federation of lawn tennis as giving
'excellent bounce'.

Chocflex Sport
- This
is a PVC sheet floorcovering designed for indoor
multi-sports centres and can be laid onto concrete, wood
and screeded subfloors.
- Court
markings are achieved by inlaying pre-machined coloured
strips and then hot-welded with matching weld rod to
achieve a completed sealed surface, or court marking lines
can be painted on using a two-part polyurethane
paint.
- This
product has excellent wear resistance, it is shock
absorbent and totally waterproof.

Barrier Matting
There are a
wide variety of mattings which divide into 3 main
categories:
- Metal/PVC
framed mats.
- Surface
level matting, fully bonded.
- Loose-laid
matting.
They are all
designed to remove the foot trafficked dirt in entrance
areas.

Metal/PVC
Metal/PVC framed mat are usually installed in wells
to a depth of around 20mm and have both indoor and outdoor
options. They are manufactured in a wide-ranging array of
designs and colours and include scraper bars, feature
strips and wiper strips.
Manufacturers include Bonar Nuway, Ultra Links
& EMCO matting.

Surface Level Mattings
Surface Level Mattings are generally not installed
to wells and are surface adhered, to join the main
carpeting /vinyl floors
There
are a variety of manufacturers and styles including;
- Wide ribbed needlpunch e.g. Hippo, Grimebuster,
Super Season matting.
- Tufted cut pile, e.g. Coral range.
- Ribbed Rubber e.g. Ultralinks.
- Coir Matting, which is also often installed in
wells.

Loose Lay Matting
Many
mats have heavy and anti-slip backing which allows them to
be loose laid in small areas or as a runner on any smooth
subfloor, e.g. Coral Matting.

Painted Floors
There are
numerous types of painted floors which can be used in wide
ranging locations.
The two main
products used by Absolute Coverings are:

Griptop
A low
hazard solvent-free polyurethane product which offers
surface coatings and toppings for medium to heavy duty
industrial floor applications, particularly food
processing and preparation areas.

Strongcoat
Epoxy
resin coatings and toppings, including primers and high
performance dpm's, decorative finishes are designed to
provide specifiers with a choice of systems depending on
cost and requirements.
